The Beer Boutique has been selling great beer for over 7 years and recently started selling great, locally roasted coffee (via it’s Brunch Weasel offshoot). We are now in the process of creating London’s first beer cafe - a beautiful blend of great beer, top notch coffee and simple excellent food.

We are looking for a superstar person to come in and take the reigns of this exciting new concept at this exciting period in our existence. The perfect candidate should have solid experience managing a quality cafe or coffee shop with just as much experience behind a coffee machine as preparing food. They should have excellent attention to detail and be obsessed with customer service - we live to give our customers an amazing experience (we don’t just say that, we pay bonuses out based on customer reviews).

Above all, the ideal candidate will be super friendly, positive & keen to take on the challenge of creating a new concept within the cafe space. Even though we are a beer cafe with a strong beer offering, we do not need a beer expert for this role, although obviously an interest in and appreciation of good beer would be helpful.

Here are some essentials:

  • Recent experience of managing a similar busy food shop or café
  • Experience overseeing production of simple fresh food on site (think sandwiches rather than haute cuisine)
  • Ability to pro-actively drive sales
  • Ability to understand budget, margins, sales targets, production of weekly reports and wages
  • Experience of recruiting, training and managing a team to high standards
  • Great coffee-making skills
  • A flexible and adaptable manner, performing a large variety of tasks to a high standard
  • A genuine passion for food and drink
  • Great knowledge of food and appreciation of the importance of food hygiene
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong computer literacy
  • An excellent communicator, leading your team to provide outstanding customer service.
