ROLE DESCRIPTION Our iconic, lakeside Victoria Park Café will soon be reopening after a game-changing refurbishment and we are looking for a new manager. We are excited to be expanding our team with an experienced, passionate and ambitious leader who can drive us and the business forward!
With the reopening of the heart of the company, we are searching for a manager to help launch the new era of Pavilion which will revolve around a new vegetarian menu, amazing coffee from our friends at Origin Coffee Roasters and, as always, high energy and exceptional staff.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar management role. They will have; an excellent understanding of how to motivate and train our team, manage their time efficiently, have the knowledge to work towards given targets and the confidence to run a very high paced service.
This is a position for a passionate leader who can share our vision, who is an excellent communicator and someone who is always one step ahead. The person we are looking for will hit the ground running and lead by example!
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensuring we run a successful service every single day, managing an efficient flow of service that runs effortlessly Managing FOH team, ensuring the team is professional, delivers excellent customer service and communicates the Pavilion story, menu and products. Managing the rota for FOH and distributing it, as well as scheduling holiday requests. Motivating and training the team, ensuring that the team and the service are perfectly prepped for the days you are not in. Talent management; conducting regular appraisals. Managing ‘back of house’ systems such as stock and ordering – ensuring our stock levels always meet the demand and is rotated. Ensuring all cleaning checklists are completed. Ensuring all products are served to the highest of standards. Reporting back to the kitchen or Back Bar Team and giving feedback to management. Ensuring all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned. Liaise with the Pavilion Kitchen, ensuring that quality is managed, cleaning rotas completed Complying with all health and safety regulations and ensuring all documentation is completed correctly and filed. Managing external contractors and communicating with the team. Ensuring the café is styled and following company guidelines, and that products are clearly described. Attending weekly management meeting
Working days: Monday to Sunday, brunch and lunch service and a small supper menu.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS Minimum 3 years experience of managing a comparable business and team of similar size (approx. 10 staff) Food hygiene certifications Ability and knowledge to meet targets and KPIs Confident in analysing the needs to run a successful service Basic HR knowledge
