With 34 stores in 10 countries, % Arabica is a pioneering speciality coffee brand known and loved by coffee enthusiasts worldwide. 2019 sees our emergence into Europe, with London our much anticipated next destination.
We are looking for a unique individual to help lead this project operationally, initially in the start-up and café construction and opening phase. Going forward, they will day in day out ensure our stores continue to run like clockwork; always bright, clean, well stocked and welcoming, with staff highly motivated and, of course, amazing coffee on the bar every day.
The Operations Manager will be an experienced, highly functioning communicator and people leader who always looks for ways to drive revenue and customer satisfaction whilst leading from the front.
They will have the right ‘can do’ attitude, a hands-on approach, leadership and commercial skills and a passion for quality, people and service. This person will also be a have proven experience as an operations manager and be results and KPI driven.
Your key responsibilities will include: Being accountable in achieving company KPI’s and financial expectations, as well as creatively monitoring and highlighting projected shortfalls or process recommendations. You will ensure that teams are fully trained and adhere to brand standards and guidelines on how to prepare and present our coffee to customers, as well as leading on Food Hygiene and Health and Safety management to ensure that stores are fully compliant. You will help lead on staff recruitment, rotas and ensuring labour costs are well managed without compromising service standards. The Operations Manager will also contribute by supporting where needed with commercial development in the UK and advise on new locations and areas of expansion for the future.
We are looking for an individual with: Proven retail operations management experience, ideally in a speciality coffee environment. Proven experience of successfully meeting and exceeding sales targets and an ability to lead by example and demonstrate progressive people management skills. Your eye for detail and presentation must meet the exacting standards of our design centred aesthetic, as all our stores are renowned for their architectural finesse and clinically precise finishing. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as well as a strong ability to work independently and creatively. Excellent time and diary management, and a natural affinity with working on spreadsheets and reporting software.
