Lead/Head Barista The Ohana Floor barista team is responsible for providing world-class service and elevated hospitality to all employees and guests who visit. Together with the Real Estate and Workplace Services Culinary Team, they provide authentic, fun and welcoming experiences that embody Salesforce’s one-of-a-kind culture. They execute a menu of speciality coffee beverages, teas, and artisan refreshments while maintaining a clean, organized workspace that adheres to all safety and food handling requirements. The lead barista works alongside the barista team and fosters a culture of integrity and accountability.

The lead barista is expected to perform moderately complex tasks in functional areas related to the Ohana Floor Barista Bar. They are supervised by the Chef de Cuisine and report to the Regional Barista Manager. They are expected to solve moderately complex problems and propose solutions on decisions impacting the team and/or Barista Bar, as well as raise concerns to management. They have an advanced understanding of coffee bar operations and tasks and are able to train others. They influence the barista team, related job tasks and functions, and are expected to gain a clear understanding of Real Estate and Workplace Services, as well as Salesforce.

You will have the interest of others always at heart. Consistency is essential to our program and you will be expected to maintain beverage and preparation standards amongst the barista team. Excellent communication is essential; you ensure communication is clear coming in and going out. As part of a larger culinary team, you work with the Chef de Cuisine and Front of House staff to ensure a unified team. You facilitate organization and are responsible for regular inventory of paper supplies, dry goods, and prepared ingredients. Our safety and security is paramount; you maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following and carrying out sanitation standards and procedures, aligning with health and legal regulations, and maintaining security protocols. You ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system by all staff and verify all products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance. You coordinate with internal and external business partners. You manage your time efficiently, balancing the needs of the team with administrative work or meetings. You work within the established infrastructure and help to build and improve systems. You unlock the creativity and potential of the team around you. You hold yourself and your team accountable to expectations. You are integral to creating memorable experiences for our guests. You create and develop employee engagement activities in-person and virtually. *Required Skills and Knowledge You have excellent guest relation skills. Specialty Coffee & Tea interest you and you follow current trends. You are self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and are able to keep a cool demeanor when priorities shift. Qualifications You have a minimum of 3 years of Specialty Coffee barista experience. You have a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience overseeing a team of 3 or more. You have worked special events in your work experience. You have culinary, hospitality, or high-end retail experience. Completion of an internal or external barista training program is strongly preferred. SCA certification or training experience is preferred.

Location: 110 Bishops Gate - Level 36 The position is via Greycoat Lumelys our hiring vendor.

Hours/Days: Normal shifts are from 8-4 / 9-5, Monday through Friday, but will periodically include early opens or late closes. Schedules will be coordinated accordingly.

Salary & Benefits: £16.35 per hour (40hrs weekly, approximately 34,000 p/year). Holiday pay (accrue holiday pay for every hour you work, including evenings & weekends) Auto-enrolment into Pension scheme. Tax and National Insurance paid for.
