We’re on the lookout for a great new person to join us and lead our team at the cafe! Ideal start time September 2022.

A bit about the place:

Our cafe, is a place where we get to share our passion for delicious coffees and great food. We’re all about relaxed, friendly service and have awesome base of local regulars as well as frequent out of town visitor, many of whom are regular drinkers of our coffees. It is not only a flagship store representing our brand but also a neighbourhood brunch spot where we get to hang with our regulars many of whom are now mates. Not gonna lie, it’s hard work but it’s also super fun, we have a really great team as well as customers and you get to eat all the foods and drink all the coffee! So yeah, come lead the team.

Who are we looking for:

Someone with passion for hospitality, delicious food and outstanding coffee. Ideally you will have had a couple of years of experience working in a speciality cafe, not necessarily in a manager’s position but with some team leading and supervision. We need a people’s person, with empathy and ability to motivate team members, and to lead by example in interacting with customers and creating a good atmosphere. Ideally you will have decent barista skills and coffee knowledge but we can also provide plenty of training in this area for someone keen to learn.


  • Permanent
  • 4.5 days a week - 40h (Tue - Sat) 4 days on shop floor + 1/2 day admin Daytime working hours - 7:30/8am - 4:30/5pm. We may do occasional evenings / supper clubs in the future but this would be discussed and agreed ahead of time before launch.


  • £25,000 - £26,000 per annum
  • possible bonus scheme if meeting & exceeding financial targets whilst keeping the team & customers happy

Standard 5.6 weeks/year holiday pay and auto enrolment into a pension scheme.


  • Lead and look after our team of baristas, front of house and chefs to work well individually and together. Currently we have a team of 2 full time Chefs, 2 full-time FOH/Baristas and 2 part-time FOH.

  • Lead the team to deliver a relaxed but efficient and professional service, outstanding quality of products, and to meet revenue targets.

  • Work with chefs to plan and execute a fresh, exciting and delicious brunch and lunch menu whilst meeting cost of sales and margin target (70% margin on food).

  • Deal with staff absences and organise cover if needed (we’re not expecting you to cover personally but reach out to available staff/ back up freelancers to cover).

  • Direct and monitor cleaning, hygiene and safety procedures adherence.

  • Oversee stock management to ensure sufficient stock levels and prevent waste.

  • Regularly review and update procedural guides and checklists to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

  • Identify and provide feedback on positive as well as problematic elements of the business, discuss solutions together with the business owner to then implement with the team.

  • Process & upload receipts and invoices into Dext, deposit cash in the bank (weekly).
