Olam Specialty Coffee has an opening for a new position of EU sales manager.

Location: Within EU. Full time role (40 hours per week)

Olam Specialty Coffee Europe is headquartered in Liverpool, UK, but as part of the Olam group we are a fully international operator, not just sourcing coffees from around the world, but selling to the widest range of specialty coffee customers. We love to add value to our partners in origin and to link roasters with top speciality coffees.

In order to do this even better, we are expanding our European operations to include a small but perfectly formed EU operation & require an experienced coffee professional to lead sales in this area.

To help us achieve these things, we require a very well organised, self-motivated, practical & experienced coffee professional to begin permanent sales operations in the EU.

This role would suit these with previous green coffee sales experience. However, this is not essential, as experience in roasted coffee or equipment sales (or similar), close connections with the specialty coffee community & positive attitude to customer service are prized even more highly.

We have a list of preferred locations that we feel would be well suited to this project, a willingness to relocate to a central/eastern European major city within the EU - and the right to work in the EU- is a major advantage on application, however, your current location will be taken into account if it is well connected & within a suitable specialty coffee market.

The expectation is that a small team will quickly form around this operation & the successful applicant will have day to day oversight of this group.

Tasks will include: • Sales of green coffee & account management with existing & new customers, • Taking a leading role in establishing our new eCommerce platform with EU customers; • Organising, assisting or oversight of cuppings/events & assisting with wider OSCE participation in larger events; • Depending on experience, bringing trading or specific origin knowledge to the team, inputting on purchasing/trading with potential to manage purchasing for an origin on our position.
