Barista

Location: Southeast Austin

Schedule: Tuesday–Sunday (Weekend availability required)

✨ Purpose of the Role: As an Odd Roots Barista, you’ll be one of the first faces our guests see each day. Your role goes beyond drinks — you’ll create welcoming experiences, manage a busy service flow with ease, and bring positive energy to every interaction. This is a great opportunity to help shape the early days of a brand with strong values, high standards, and a heart for hospitality.

🔧 What You’ll Do: Craft high-quality espresso and coffee beverages with consistency, care, and speed

Prepare and plate our signature toast offerings with attention to detail and presentation

Manage a fast-paced line while keeping service smooth, friendly, and efficient

Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe trailer environment

Greet every guest with warmth, intention, and genuine hospitality

Offer recommendations and assist with menu questions

Handle setup, restocking, and closing duties as needed

Manage time effectively during peak hours

Uphold Odd Roots’ brand values and vibe in every interaction

Collaborate as a supportive, positive team player

💡 What We’re Looking For: Experience in a food or café setting is a plus — but not required

Strong multitasking and time management skills

Great customer service instincts and people-first energy

A love for coffee and a passion for hospitality

Dependable, self-motivated, and eager to grow

Weekend availability is required

✨ Bonus If You Have: Espresso dial-in or latte art experience

Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain)

Familiarity with the South Austin food & coffee scene

A great playlist or favorite morning ritual
