Barista

The Lavery is newly opened restaurant and events space and soon to be launched neighbourhood cafe in South Kensington. Set in a beautifully restored Victorian townhouse our café offers a refined yet welcoming atmosphere just steps from galleries and museums. The cafe will have a seasonal lunch menu crafted by Yohei Furuhashi, we focus on simple, seasonal, elegant dishes served with warmth and care.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee and creating a welcoming environment for customers. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality drinks, maintaining a clean workspace, and delivering exceptional customer service.

-Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests

-Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold drinks

-Maintain a clean and organised workstation, including equipment, counters and till areas

-Follow health and safety guidelines for food preparation and sanitation

-Occasionally handle payments, accurately processing card transactions

-Restock inventory and supplies as needed throughout the shift

-Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth café operations

-Assist with opening and closing duties as required

-Support with stock take

We Are Looking For:

-Friendly, confident, and professional with a genuine passion for hospitality

-Previous barista and customer service experience

-Friendly, positive attitude with strong communication skills

-Ability to work in a busy environment while keeping up quality

-Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (but no evenings!)

-Interest in food, design, and culture is a plus, we would love someone who can help us build a local community, chat with the customers and offer recommendations.
