Role: Barista

  • Location: Camden Passage, Islington, London
  • Pay: Competitive, based on experience – at or above London Living Wage
  • Hours: Full-time and part-time positions are available. Weekend availability is essential.

While speciality coffee experience is preferred, it’s not required. What matters most is your passion for incredible coffee and great hospitality and a proactive mindset.

  • Quality-Obsessed: Constantly inspiring and developing the team to be the best they can be, keeping expectations and standards high.
  • Dependable: Confidently running shifts and working closely with the Cafe Management team, acting as a reliable backup and motivating the staff.

and who also has the following skills:

  • Coffee: Strong espresso-making and latte art.
  • Experience working as a Barista in a specialty coffee café setting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication.

Every day, you’ll be:

  • Crafting Exceptional Coffee: Prepare consistently high-quality espresso-based drinks and manual brews, ensuring every cup meets Spring Valley Coffee’s high standards.
  • Delivering Outstanding Customer Service: Create warm and welcoming experiences that turn customers into regulars.
  • Maintaining High Standards: Keep the café clean, organised, and running efficiently.
  • Engaging with Customers: Educate guests about our specialty coffee, brewing methods, and the stories behind our beans.
  • Working as a Team: Collaborate with colleagues to keep service smooth and enjoyable.
  • Handling Stock & Equipment: Monitor stock levels, dial in espresso machines, and take care of coffee equipment.
