Turnips Food and Drink
Turnips Food and Drink is an establishment focusing on a simple concept but a very high quality in its ‘eats and drinks’. Café Our café’s create a rustic, market like atmosphere with a sophisticated edge. They are outfitted with wood from our forester Michael Woodman. An eclectic mix of new and old music plays as we serve our signature cheese toasties, furnished with Neal Yard Dairy cheese and Flour Station sourdough bread. The café has been developed by Turnips of Borough Market, a fruit and vegetable wholesaler and retail agent (@turnipsborough). As such, it naturally uses only the finest Italian tomatoes, ‘Mirinda’ and ‘Camone’ in the bruschetta and the best ready to eat Hass Avocados on toast! To accompany our food offering is our phenomenal artisan coffee. We use Alchemy coffee beans that are roasted locally in south London - strictly only seasonal blends - with organic milk from the Ivy House Farm in Bath. Juice Bar The concept behind the Turnips Juice Bar is at heart a very simple one, which developed from the need to utilise our stock and minimise wastage. We started making juices and smoothies with this produce to be sold daily (a grade of fruits and veg no one else would even consider using in drinks). All recipes of the juice bar instil the ethos of Turnips, focusing on health, quality and seasonality. We are continuously improving and evolving our juice offering to keep up with the increasing demand. Whilst our offering is evolving our core mentality has remained the same, we eat the best and now, we drink the best! Juicing and blending is done on site, continuously throughout the day to ensure incredible freshness and flavour. We also sell exceptional fruit pots, fruit sticks and watermelon slices alongside the smoothies and juices.
