Started in 2005, Sweetpea was Portland’s first all-vegan retail bakery. We started small, and grew into opening our current retail space in 2008. We have expanded our menu to offer breakfast, daily homemade soups, sandwiches, bagels, and a full range of pastries.  Saturday is always doughnut day.  Come sit in our spacious cafe and watch our baristas pull shots of espresso and our bakers pull fresh brownies out of the oven. Our focus is on making quality vegan baked goods that will rival any counterpart.  We have set out to prove that no animals need to be harmed to make a delicious moist cake, a soft doughnut, or a flaky scone. We use many organic ingredients, as well as locally grown flour. Much of our seasonal produce and fruit is also sourced locally.
