Rise & Grind Coffee was born in the Summer of 2020- a bleak period, in which many of us faced struggles in a variety of aspects. Simple activities like going for a coffee and a chat with our friends were stripped from us. Retrospectively, we hopefully have learned a lot making this a valuable past. Many of us rediscovered the gratitude we once had towards the smaller things that life presents us, and take the much needed, step back from the monotony of daily life. Consequently, two great things were discovered in this timeframe and fit perfectly in harmony together. Our name Rise & Grind is a spin on “Rise & Shine”, a phrase typically said in the morning. We used this spin-off as we tend to consume coffee in the morning and it is often at this paramount period in the day where we can make the incremental choices, which compounded over time, can cause huge change. Whatever these incremental changes and wider personal goals and objectives may be, Rise & Grind want to be your reminder and give you that caffeine kick to help you get there. Our sustainability objective is to try and provide a product which is completely carbon neutral. We have invested in up-cycling an old Piaggio Ape, a tuk-tuk which originates in Italy. The cart once served as an advertising vehicle for a private recycling company and was no longer wanted. The restoration and conversion process has brought back the beauty of this vehicle and is now able to produce premium barista-style, bean to cup coffee in a self-contained space.
