We are looking for a well-rounded barista, friendly and full of customer care. As a barista at gaff you will be the face and personality of the business and we will be proud to have you on our team. We believe in equality and helping your fellow team members and customers should flow naturally – you’ll need to have a team player attitude and a keen eye for looking after each customer with respect and care. In this role you’ll be required to work with specialty coffee; making coffee; and dealing with any customer enquiries about our retail coffee program. You will also be required to communicate clearly with the kitchen staff, providing table service and ensuring that all dishes, products and customer interactions are delivered to the correct standard. We like all staff to take a proactive approach with all necessary tasks, with customer care at the forefront of their mind. In this role you will be working closely under the guidance of our Head Barista The ideal candidate will have: * Minimum 2-year barista experience in a busy environment similar to what we are looking for * Have willingness to learn and sharpen your skills and also share your own knowledge * Able to treat customers in a friendly and sociable manner * Bring ideas and a proactive mindset * Have good organization and time management skills * Be proactive and punctual You will be required to: * Be available on weekends * Adhere to health and safety regulations and keep high standards of hygiene * Confidently deliver consistent quality coffee every day and during busy periods * Confidently show case the gaff brand values and products with pride * As an all-rounder you’ll be required to do basic cleaning like washing dishes and table service.
