We, Gadi and Maleigha, both come from extensive restaurant backgrounds and the food industry. In 2009 we had a vision of focusing on coffee with the intention of serving high quality drinks and a line of organic, health conscious baked goods. The idea was for us to manufacture every item we sell, therefore preserving integrity and quality that is not easily found in today's world. In 2011 we launched Bowery Coffee on 89 E Houston Street, NYC, NY, and started on the road of roasting and serving. We live in the town of Chestnut Ridge NY, roughly 45 minutes from downtown NYC and it logistically made sense to start our roasting part of the operation. We found the perfect industrial space to place our Probat L-12 roaster. Soon after, a retail space in town opened up and we launched our second venture American Bulldog Coffee Roasters. We decided at this point to use our most beloved member of our little family, our American Bulldog, Delilah, as the mascot and namesake of the cafe. Our vision was and is to have it all served in an incredible environment, using authentic 19th to early 20th century original antiques that we are very passionate about, thus creating an authentic old world charm. We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to incorporate items that we’ve been collecting for many years that we love so much in the design.
