IKAWA was founded in 2010 by designer Andrew Stordy who invented the concept whilst studying at the Royal College of Art. His vision was to change the way people buy and sell coffee by giving them an easy-to-use and enjoyable coffee roasting experience. Andrew’s unique background and experiences in coffee growing countries inspired him to create a business that could use trade, innovation, and design to have a positive impact in the developing countries that coffee comes from. Andrew’s vision still drives us today.

IKAWA’s patented technology is recognised as industry leading, sold in 100+ countries and used to roast over 1 million times per year. We have products that cater for businesses, the IKAWA Pro Series, and for coffee enthusiasts, IKAWA Home Roasting System - both aimed at making roasting simple, repeatable, and shareable.
