We’re looking for exceptional Full-time and Part-time Baristas to join our new venue team at North London’s next great specialty coffee bar.

Dear Coco, the world’s most popular coffee truck with a cult local and global following is now expanding into indoor coffee bars!

Our mission is simply brilliant coffee, where you’ve always wanted it, served by the world’s best.

Our beautifully styled coffee bar is situated in the foyer of London’s premier Build to Rent building located in Tottenham Hale (opening late October). This venue will deliver exceptional hospitality, a welcoming environment and foster a community for people to connect over delicious coffee, bakes and more.

Our Barista team reports the Coffee Bar Manager. The start date for these Barista roles is late-October.

Dear Coco team members are part of a fast-growth business, with varied positions becoming available across the company as we scale, offering exciting Barista, Management, Operations and Head Office opportunities for our team.

We want our Baristas to:

• Consistently deliver specialty coffee to an exceptional standard. We serve our signature coffee, No. 1 Ant’s Blend created by the team at Triple Co Roast in Bristol. • Provide outstanding customer service and build relationships with our customers and local community. • Work professionally, with energy and purpose. • Act as a brand ambassador for Dear Coco. • Be available early mornings (set up from 7:00AM, ready to open at 7:30AM). Weekend availability is an advantage - you won’t need to work both weekend days unless you choose to. The closing shift finishes at 5:00PM.

Entitlements:

• Shift breaks, holiday leave and pension entitlements are paid.

Core roles & responsibilities

Operations Management:

• Opening and /or closing, welcoming customers, taking orders, dialling in every morning, making high quality specialty coffee, serving bakes and other products. • Ensure coffee quality and consistency is maintained throughout the day. • Manage daily stock (coffee beans, milk, bakes, disposables, etc.). Monitor stock age and minimise wastage. • Maintain a clean and organised coffee bar, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. • Ensure the bar and retail items are fully stocked at the start and end of each day. • Ensure daily compliance with all health and safety regulations and licences.

Customer Service & Experience:

• Maintain a keen knowledge of our specialty coffee and all product offerings. • Represent Dear Coco to customers and partners with a clear understanding of the business and premium positioning within the coffee industry. • Deliver outstanding customer service, creating a welcoming environment for all customers. • Ensure efficient, friendly service while maintaining high standards. • Learn about our coffee products and be able to assist customers with their home brewing questions.

Profile of our ideal candidate:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Barista, working with specialty coffee is preferred. • Confident dialling in the coffee equipment. • Excellent customer service and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. • A passion for coffee and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. • Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
