Kaffeine is an Australian owned café with 2 locations in Fitzrovia in central London that is recruiting for an experienced Lead Barista. Opened in 2009, this store is recognised as one of the leading cafes of the UK and European coffee industry. This is your opportunity to make your mark in an iconic establishment.
We are recruiting for a professional and dedicated Lead Barista who wishes to progress their skills, knowledge and career and bring their own passion and enthusiasm for coffee and hospitality to the role. You will dream about coffee, live for coffee, brew various methods of coffee at home, smell like coffee and have coffee grounds embedded in your fingers. Even if you do have all this, you will also love looking after people with your high standards of service and hospitality.
Our standards are very high and we recruit people who want to be involved in a company with structure, organisation, clear goals and standards with close contact with the Director and a fun working environment and who will also bring their own passion, enthusiasm and knowledge to the business.
You will also have the opportunity to be a trainer in our popular fortnightly latte art classes with customers from across the world learning the science and techniques that go into espresso and latte art, or the more in depth and detailed one on one classes of espresso making.
We also run a very fast rolling guest espresso and filter program from roasters across the UK and Europe and have a very long term relationship with Square Mile coffee for our house espresso.
Previous employees have left Kaffeine on good terms and have furthered their careers by opening or managing their own stores, being successful in coffee competitions, opening coffee events businesses and even founding their own dairy to supply London cafes and restaurants with milk. You can read their stories in our blog page ‘Kaffeine Alumni, 12 years of Legends”
In 2021, Kaffeine was recognised as one of the Top 6 employers in the country in the Caterer Magazine Best Employers in Hospitality.
