Roasting is integral to our success. Specialised in a fast-paced roast-to-ship service, our roasting team meticulously develops every coffee’s flavour profile and follows rigorous quality control practices.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled roaster to take a senior position on our roasting team.

As Head Roaster, you will apply your enthusiasm, excellence and skillset to the following:

  • Production roasting
  • Profiling coffee for release
  • Leading production days: creating daily roast schedules, liaising with Production etc.
  • Ensure roasting operates in a timely manner while meeting quality standards
  • Production cupping, espresso and filter quality control
  • Maintaining Daily Roast, Quality Control, and Cupping reports
  • Work alongside the Head of Roasting Department on quality control
  • Responsible for creating an internal roaster training and assessment program
  • Assisting in training team members when required
  • Adhering to strict roastery cleaning schedules
  • Maintenance of roasting equipment
  • Adhere and lead the team on strict health & safety guidelines
  • Assisting with Green stock management
  • Ensure Green storage is clean, organised and ready to receive regular deliveries

Requirements:

  • Proven experience roasting; minimum 3 years
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated with energy and enthusiasm
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Experience with diary management
  • High level of customer service and rapport building
  • High attention to detail
  • Proof of the right to work in the UK
