Roasting is integral to our success. Specialised in a fast-paced roast to ship service, our roasting team meticulously develops every coffee’s individual flavour profile and follow rigorous quality control practices to ensure consistency.

We are looking for a passionate roaster to take on a senior position on our roasting team. Invested in our values and goals you will be an accountable candidate who can contribute to our bigger picture.

As Head Roaster, you will apply your enthusiasm, excellence and skillset to the following:

  • Production roasting
  • Profiling coffee for release
  • Lead production days and roasting team
  • Assist in training team members when required
  • Production cupping and espresso quality control
  • Maintaining Daily Roast, Quality Control, and Cupping reports
  • Ensure roasting operates in a timely manner meeting quality standards
  • Work alongside Head of Roasting Department on quality control
  • Responsible for creating an internal roaster training and assessment program
  • Adhere to strict roaster cleaning schedules
  • General roastery cleaning and maintenance
  • Adhere and lead the team on strict health & safety guidelines

Stocktake and inventory:

  • Maintenance and cleaning of roasting equipment
  • Green stock management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience roasting, minimum 3 years
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated with energy and enthusiasm
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Experience with diary management
  • High level of customer service and rapport building
  • High attention to detail
  • Proof of the right to work in the UK
