The role of the MINCKA Barista is to take our guests on a superior end-to-end coffee house journey.
You will be fully engaged with our customers; making suitable recommendations, educating them on the MINCKA brand, taking orders, up-selling where possible and keeping the store squeaky clean and presentable at all times!
To be successful in this role, you should have great people skills, a passion for everything COFFEE which includes chatting about it, brewing it, learning about it and educating our guests on it.
You should be flexible to work various shifts throughout the weekly schedule and be happy to stand in for staff absence, when necessary.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a MINCKA Barista you will look to provide all of our guests with a friendly, personalised speciality coffee service - one where you build report by remembering their names and their regular order choices
As a MINCKA Barista you will be a true ‘all-rounder’; able to cover all aspects of the front of house role. Taking orders and handling payments, preparing drinks, brewing drip coffee as needed, promoting new products and educating our customers on our growing coffee menu
As a MINCKA Barista you will be focused on quality and whilst you will work swiftly you will always strive to work with care and attention to detail, keeping the bar area and equipment clean and well maintained at all times
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & REQUIREMENTS
Must be over 18 and able to work full time (including after the summer period)
A minimum of 1 year’s barista experience (SCA qualification desirable)
Available to work flexible hours that will include early mornings, weekends and/or bank holidays
Passionate about coffee and eager to progress within the industry and increase their general knowledge of coffee and how a cafe operates
Able to multi-task and work calmly in a fast paced environment
Brings positivity to work, accountable for getting stuff done contributing to a culture that develops leaders
Up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once
You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun along the way
