Who Are We?

TazZa Coffee is a specialty coffee shop on Sutton High Street. We love serving the local community with not just the best coffee going, but also with a great food offering, all wrapped up in phenomenal service.

TazZa Coffee has three core values, Coffee, Community & Jesus. Owned by a thriving, multi-site local church, C3 UnitedLife, all three values run through the heart of TazZa Coffee, and everything it does is held against these values.

The Job:

The Manager of the shop has overall responsibility for the performance of the shop, meaning instilling our values is paramount whilst bringing out their own flare. TazZa has a small team, therefore nothing is too big or too small for any team member, the Manager included. The role requires someone who is passionate about coffee, food and service, but also has a strong operational head.

Ensuring the shop is profitable is a given for this role, as is putting our community and our customers first.

The What?

Oversee the operations of the shop on a day to day basis. Maintain high coffee and food standards. Ensure that TazZa Coffee is a fantastic place to be. Manage relationships with community partners and suppliers. Stock ordering and managing stock levels, conducting monthly stock takes. Responsibility for due diligence, health & safety, including daily, weekly & monthly records. Maintaining targets, budgets, profitability.

Leading by example with the team, delivered consistently, being hands-on with staff. Being the immediate line manager for all the team, including weekly rota management, daily operational matters. Recruiting and training new staff.

Who Are We Looking For?

Someone who loves people, is sociable and would consider yourself a people person. Someone who is a strong leader, able to inspire both your team and stakeholders, motivating them around our core values. You will have a can-do attitude, even when under pressure, able to deliver outstanding customer service and ensuring that all meet the TazZa Coffee values.

You will have experience in a management role, preferably in a similar coffee environment. Barista training would be a huge advantage for this role, but basic skills can be built upon through training with our coffee partners. Likewise, health & safety certification would be helpful, but TazZa Coffee can provide courses if needed.

You are eligible to work full-time in the UK, and fluent in written and spoken English.

As TazZa Coffee is owned by C3 Unitedlife, there is a genuine occupational requirement to be a committed Christian, who regularly attends church.
