We are currently recruiting for a Coffee Quality Control Manager.You will be responsible for managing, maintaining and running the coffee operations of The Ned in line with the Soho House Coffee Development Program. Delivering outstanding customer service with superb attention to detail, efficiency, quality and product knowledge.

Responsible for quality control, in-house training, members events and hot beverage offerings across the site. Install and maintain passion for Specialty Coffee in staff and customers. Supporting management team as needed. Reports to Bars Manager on site and Coffee Quality Manager for UK and Europe.

As a Coffee Quality Control Manager you will:

Train baristas, bar staff, floor staff, managers on Coffee Program and standards Quality check Coffee Program to ensure accuracy and standards set by Coffee QC UK and Europe Work with bar management team to ensure Coffee Program and communication between barista/bar staff: have the right team on for every shift and to ensure coffee consistency, while making sure wages are within budget Conduct one coffee related House Tonic Training per month Lead one member’s event per month Report to work as scheduled, well-groomed and ready to be in position Manage staff in all aspects including recruiting, training, schedules and disciplinary procedures Assess staff performance, conduct appraisals, and strategize for improving staff performance Supporting staff with service when and where needed Monitoring staff schedule to accommodate business needs on a daily basis Maintains professional relationship with all co-workers and guests Maintain a positive attitude to guest’s requirements Properly communicating with other departments regarding daily activities/issues Ensure that the health and safety policy is adhered to at all times Ensure sites/teams are ordering correctly, as needed and according to budget on all inventory items Monitoring equipment and help ensure maintenance with bar management Give conductive feedback to Coffee QC UK and Europe Assist in controlling CGS on site by performing counts as needed, setting par levels and ensuring order orders are placed appropriately Provide machine audits and carry out weekly and monthly maintenance Any other tasks as assigned

Essential experience:

Minimum three years speciality coffee experience in supervisory role with a proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service oriented operation Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays A sophisticated communicator with high standards of performance together with excellent communication, problem solving and listening skills Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines Ability to create strong relationships with guests, members and staff
