About Us

The Quarter Kitchen is a new Mexican cafe located in the grounds of St John Church in Hackney Central. We launched in June under the stewardship of head chef Rodrigo Cervantes formerly of Smoking Goat, Koya and Rita’s. Things have been going great and we’ve been named as one of London’s hottest new restaurant openings by Eater London (https://london.eater.com/maps/best-new-restaurants-london-heatmap) We serve an exciting mix of traditional Mexican dishes such as carnitas, molletes and gorditas alongside more more twists such as sausage burritos, chilaquiles with kimchi, and fish and chip tacos. We have ambitious plans for the business at our current site and beyond and are looking for a chef to join and help make these plans reality.

About the Role

We’re now looking for a new chef de partie to join the team. Working closely alongside our head chef, you will play a key role in helping us develop our food offering and enabling us to develop more dishes and serve more customers. The role is daytime only and we are ideally looking for someone to work Sat-Wed. We are also open to this being part-time.

About You

We are looking for someone who has experience working in commercial kitchens, able to work as a team during busy periods as well as independently during quieter ones. This role will likely appeal to someone who wants a change of scene from a restaurant setting - we have a relaxed, collaborative culture and are based in a beautiful park location.
