A diligent barista with supervisor experience required The shop is both a coffee and wine shop, so wine knowledge favoured Must have good admin skills for daily cafe systems, stock takes Ideally should live local to Haggerston, Hackney, Shoreditch or less than 30 min commute There maybe some days lone working so should be comfortable with working independently Help train up new members of staff as they join the team

Both directors still practice their creative passions along side the day to day running of SHED.

SHED Directors and Operational team have worked very hard to create the relevant systems to run a successful cafe. It’s the coffee shop baristas main responsibility to ensure that these are followed to the finest detail. This includes barista work such as helping with staff rotas and organisation, Staff motivation, training and discipline, as well as working alongside the team as a Barista/ Salesman.

SHEDs ultimate goal is to provide the best curated product and experience to every customer who comes through the door, our baristas are an extension of SHEDs directors vision and are therefore responsible for making this happen.

A strong understanding of the coffee product that we are selling, this includes all aspects from the coffee beans themselves to the different milks used to mix. Confident at dialing in the coffee machine to a specific recipe. Ability to train others to do the same. Motivate staff to execute an exceptional level of service leading to a direct increase in loyal, repeat customers. Provide training to employees using the SHED Handbook and monitor their work in relation to Job Specification. Successful employees will start a short probation period as part of the employment process.
