We are a dynamic, forward thinking multi-award business and our claim to fame is that we are Oxfordshire’s first and longest established leading speciality coffee roaster. Supplying high-grade speciality coffee to our own cafes as well as to an impressive line up of speciality wholesale and retail customers around the UK, direct from our roastery in Witney, West Oxfordshire.

We have an exciting new job role for anyone wishing to take his or her coffee career to the next level. Ideally you will already have speciality coffee skills as an experienced barista, a passion for quality and excellence in the cup and posses a good can do flexible work ethic is essential.

The opportunity now presents itself to join our experienced team as a full-time Assistant Production Coffee Roaster. To assist with all duties in our busy roastery, from daily production cupping, coffee roasting, development and assisting our production team with the packing of roasted coffee orders.

You will be working on an array of brand new Giesen roasting technology from W15, W30 and WPG1, which is fully supported with coffee lab equipment to assist in quality control and production consistency, under the direct supervision of our Head Roaster and licensed Arabica Q Grader.

Within your role at the roastery you will also have the opportunity to work on some of the best espresso machine brands in the industry such as Slayer, Victoria Arduino and La Marzocco.

Daily duties will entail;

  1. Assist in the roasting of commercial and specialty coffee set out by our daily and weekly roasting schedule.
  2. Lifting of green coffee sacks and roasted coffee to our linear weighing system.
  3. Assist in the packing of coffee to be shipped out to our retail, internet and wholesale customers on a daily basis.
  4. Set up and assist with the daily production and development cupping sessions.
  5. General daily cleaning and maintenance of the roastery equipment and assist in keeping the production floor clean and presentable at all times.
  6. Report directly to our Director of Roastery Operations on a daily basis.

What we are offering;

Full training on our roastery operations, technology and standards will be given. For the right candidate, you will receive sponsored SCA accredited training in both sensory and roasting after one year of employment. One fully expensed visit to origin per annum, meeting and building relationships with our coffee partners. £25,000 Basic salary, pension, uniform plus company benefits.
