The Castle is run by climbers for climbers and as the premier indoor climbing centre in South East England, we receive more annual visits than any other climbing centre in the U.K. It is constructed within a magnificent Victorian building, formerly a water pumping station (and yes it really does look like a Castle!) At our cafe we’re passionate about the quality of our food and coffee, and its environmental and social impact. That’s why nearly all of our products are organic and/or fairtrade. In fact, much of our produce comes from our organic garden and is prepared on site by our staff. No food miles, no packaging, no chemicals – just yummy goodness! Our menus change daily depending on what’s coming in from the garden and what’s in season, so you’ll never get bored.
